Simona + Kerry’s Winter Branding Photo Session
Simona is one of my oldest and most fun clients! She is always down to try unique things and be bold with her sessions. For this winter branding photoshoot, she brought along her friend Kerry to create some magic. We headed up to Lake Dillion in the beautiful mountains here in Colorado to get some of the stunning winter scenery. Winter sessions can be amazing here in the Rocky Mountains, but that doesn’t mean they’re not freezing! I sometimes feel like people see these types of images and forget that it was about 20 degrees during this session (actually pretty warm). It takes a bold person to be able to photograph in the snow. And thank goodness I have badass clients who will take that risk!

Why you and your business needs branding photos:
As a fitness instructor and powerhouse entrepreneur Simona is someone who needs pretty consistent content to share with her followers and clients. Our branding sessions allow her to get fresh content and inspiration. Branding sessions should mirror your personality and be able to let you shine through the images. My goal for personal branding photos is to assist in showing off your personality and skills. For Simona, we did several different fitness and yoga poses, as she is in that industry. For Kerry, we did a few more funky images, including a classic Colorado smoking image. I love when branding clients bring me their ideas and suggest things that showcase their personalities.
Luckily in Colorado, there are a plethora of locations to photograph. After the start of our shoot, we drove down the road to get a completely different view! I love how we started in the middle of the mountains and then made it to the base. The difference in scenery adds to the overall session. Especially if Simona and Kerry want to use these photos like it was two different sessions.
Are you looking to revamp your branding for the new year? Perhaps the photo of yourself you use on everything is 10+ years old? Do you have a creative idea you want to try out?
